Love of youth
Love of ages
Long withdrawing
Long receding
Stranger of the past
Yet I feel you
As though breathing in my ear
Yet I hear you
Presence lingering near
Distant stranger
Born of distant paths
I remember
Promised love that lasts
And forever my longing heart will seek
You, distant stranger…

Distant stranger,
Be aloof no longer
Draw now nearer
Be no more
A stranger
