Author's Note
The inclination and proclivity of pride is on display here. This goes through what it's like for someone to try to fit in with the wrong crowd, but they also know better, as they come full circle in the last 3 stanzas. Fitting in with the world weighs down the protagonist here. Deception, perverted behavior, controlling secrecy, a lack of the development of the mind, rebellion and immorality, refusal to correct oneself, etc., catches up to the protagonist or first-person point of view, towards the end. The result is repentance, and growing from the experience, in acknowledging sin, and transforming into something new from fighting against it.

Hey, thanks for checking it out. Yeah, it might look like I simply pieced words together, but there's a whole lot more that goes into it. It's a whole process of using two 3-syllable words, for 6 total syllables, in 32 lines, or 8 stanzas, without deviating the vocabulary and main syllable stresses.
With that said, I do owe you an apology. I took one of your reviews entirely wrong and way out of context. You commented on one of my writings a few months ago, and I was dealing with a lot of drama, and I basically got angry for no reason. Again, I apologize, and do appreciate your honesty and feedback. I'd like to once again be a familiar acquaintance of yours on here, if not a friend.
Anyway, your encouragement is uplifting, in that you see past some of my anger in the past, and don't hold a grudge. It's great that you took the time to give an assessment, or even simply just to read. I'll see you around - take care!
