The Crocodile

There was a man called Alfredo who claimed
to be the first man in the world to keep a crocodile as a pet
He had taken the young beast home after killing its mother
a big crock that had petrified other river beasts
The baby crock tried to bite Alfredo's hand but accepted him
According to Alfredo, he saw love in
the baby's eyes.
Alfred took videos of the crock, which he called Esmeralda, exploring
he dedicated his life to rescuing animals
and to prove all God's creatures, big or small
are capable of offering love when meeting human kindness
 in the watery landscape of drowning trees
Yet full of life.
Alfredo, a lover of animals, had thrown away his rifle
to meet the fauna on its home turf, the same
rifle that
had killed Esmeralda's mother, who was too young
to remember
on the day when the pair of them went  to make a video
destined for an animal program for Swedish Television
one can see the beginning (the video was retrieved in
the belly of a monster crock
Afredo in his canoe and Esmeralda
swimming alongside, but abruptly, the filming stopped
and a shocked voice said Esmereralda Stop!!!
The Swedish Academy for Art and Painting has issued
a warning that some animals, like crocodiles and anacondas
cannot be tamed! Artists must keep their distance
when painting them!
The Swedish government did not issue a similar warning
as it might upset African states
