Spasm

And blood chokes my spine
As we soar through the air
Thoughts spiral my mind
Life and death we dare
Pressure rushed fiction unreal
And turbulence blows us by
Spitting out our last meal
Unknown time of when we'd die
God's fury tease the breath we know
And satan laughed at our cries
Thunder rumbled lightning glowed
Breathless were our vacant sighs
Lost in fiery intensity
At the depth of heavens gate
Now praying for eternity
Answers we no longer await
Death believed life was true
As clouds filled our mind
But our reality had no clue
Of the wreckage that they'd find
The air sucked out and dark
Liquid black consumed
Masses of bodies disembark
The future we knew was doomed
Panic and misery filled my heart
In the ocean we crashed hard
Half the plane torn apart
The other burned and charred
Climbing over desolate stares
And bodies of cold and numb
The surge of water enters
Paralyzing us deaf and dumb
With hope I found her tender cheek
Unconscious she lay still
Dragged along escape I seek
And desperate thoughts sent a chill
Slide in the dark cold demon
Loving eyes filled with fear
Leave alone her heart still beating
And wipe away my bitter tears
The sirens and the flashing lights
Drown away loves unknown pain
Survivors vacate this darkest night
Together we found a home again
Hand in hand in heaven we lay
Our hearts now joined as one
A reality where we'd love to stay
Where our memories are never gone
