Wreckage

Feelings way past the point of pain  
This final escape trying to stay sane  
All my baggage checked at the gate  
Enter paranoia my love of hate  
I hear a voice as I drift away  
Distant though what did they say  
Whistling through the silent air  
I feel this cold numbing heartless stare  
Clouds formed my darkened mind  
Fragile memories I'm searching to find  
Memories of us now turning black  
Somehow my life went way off track  
Thunderous echoes my heart tattered  
My serenity your lightning shattered  
Consuming every breath I ever took  
Calmness entered this plane that shook  
Twisting my darkness with turbulence  
Somehow somewhere we lost our innocence  
Fire raged this burning inside  
Face to face with life I no longer hide  
Consumed with relentless clouds of smoke  
I awaken I gasp I slowly choke  
Our future was never there for me  
I was blinded too dumb I couldn't see  
As I crash into this blackened night  
Tears tell a story of my tragic sight  
But my angel whispers so sweet so kind  
This wreckage I feel all in my mind  
A new beginning I now realize  
Peace finally enters as I close my eyes
