In so many ways
I feel attached to you
An emptiness lingers
Where the words I wished to share
Festered there in my mind
Sinking instead of flowing
Into written words sent to you
Until thoughts are just a jumble
And even feelings clamber in confusion
Missing you
Yes, I’ve become attached to
The way you care
Your insightfulness
Now sealed behind your frozen lips
(The ones I beg to kiss)
I’ve become attached to
The dreams of your touch
Echoes of your voice folding me into your love
I’m so attached
and miss you ever more
