Identity

This thought
Is incredibly difficult,
See this as a reality;
Many of us fail
To embrace our identity,
As the beloved in God.
But becomes more solidified
In our lives when it is questioned.
This battle can seem artificially made
Because it is encrypted in our mind.

Our great perception
Is of great value to God,
Not what we make up in order
To get us by in life.
But this struggle for identity is real.
The battle in our minds,
Is a battle for our hearts.
It is placed in our hearts
Where the truth of His love dwells.
God’s love for us
Is more than a thought,
Or a construct.
It becomes that more complicated
When we don’t feel it,
Or when we don't see it.

This battle is not
Thinking better thoughts
About our self,
But understanding the true value
That is placed on us.
Holding onto truth
Attached to our breath,
Before our birth.
If we look around,
We don't need to be told
Truth from which we were made.

We easily praise the mind
That invented
Something in the world,
But we forget the Mind
Behind
Our existence.
The core from which we were made,
invented,
Created,
For a greater cause.
And our true identity
Is encrypted in our spirit
which is of God's DNA.
