i resigned myself
to missing certain things in life
to not having certain emotional things
to not loving or being loved
to not feeling
i resigned myself
i thought life was too much for me
i thought my life was in the past
but life is in the present
love exists if we are open
we can feel if we are vulnerable
we can be alive if we act
i resigned myself
but i was wrong

Wow, KP.... this kind of truthfulness leaves me utterly breathless.... I am drawn to what motivates and even more so what can kickstart profound change in a big way.... Here you've articulated that very sentiment like a lightning bolt across the page.... It's magnificent to read and some truly applaud worthy self introspection.
I find I'm wrong more often than not these days but find admitting that in a healthy and constructive way to still be a work in progress. Thank you for demonstrating how taking to take personal responsibility in such a succinctly beautiful and poetic way. 🙏🏻
