Crab

Red hard shell
Legs that scuttle away fast as hell
claws that can break even if I never shall
the shallow pools feed me and my pals
you'll see me in my sandy kingdom no doubt
because the summer sun always finds me out
though it's true I have a bad reputation
I understand my crusty station
I do not try to be greedy
even though my legs always feed the needy
I am the king of this hill
and like the rain, being here I always will.
