The Seashell
I found you lying on the beach
Pristine, untouched by the world's tragedies
Among the numerous once-beautiful treasures
Slowly broken down by the passage of time
As lovely as a dewdrop, you lay in wait
But I didn't pick you up, for fear that I'd break you
And so I let you go
To be reclaimed by the immortal pull of the tide
Pristine, untouched by the world's tragedies
Among the numerous once-beautiful treasures
Slowly broken down by the passage of time
As lovely as a dewdrop, you lay in wait
But I didn't pick you up, for fear that I'd break you
And so I let you go
To be reclaimed by the immortal pull of the tide
