Sheddings of My Soul

The angel statue fell,
and crashed to hard ground
In refusal to be broken,
her pieces never to be found.
She fell into the sheddings of my soul.
Fragments of the yesterday self's.
I have outgrown.
My new self, I'm just getting to know.
The sun bled fire.
In passion's voids.
The rain wept in trembling joy,
for a door had opened,
for my aching desire.
The emerald trees
whooshed with chords of destiny.
The wind was a lavish breeze.
I gently placed the angel back up on the shelf.
She whispered don't forget to love yourself.
A final look back.
The sheddings of my soul,
my emotional litter,
had morphed into the most sparkling glitter.
