Sheddings of My Soul
The angel statue fell,
and crashed to hard ground
In refusal to be broken,
her pieces never to be found.
She fell into the sheddings of my soul.
Fragments of the yesterday self's.
I have outgrown.
My new self, I'm just getting to know.
The sun bled fire.
In passion's voids.
The rain wept in trembling joy,
for a door had opened,
for my aching desire.
The emerald trees
whooshed with chords of destiny.
The wind was a lavish breeze.
I gently placed the angel back up on the shelf.
She whispered don't forget to love yourself.
A final look back.
The sheddings of my soul,
my emotional litter,
had morphed into the most sparkling glitter.
and crashed to hard ground
In refusal to be broken,
her pieces never to be found.
She fell into the sheddings of my soul.
Fragments of the yesterday self's.
I have outgrown.
My new self, I'm just getting to know.
The sun bled fire.
In passion's voids.
The rain wept in trembling joy,
for a door had opened,
for my aching desire.
The emerald trees
whooshed with chords of destiny.
The wind was a lavish breeze.
I gently placed the angel back up on the shelf.
She whispered don't forget to love yourself.
A final look back.
The sheddings of my soul,
my emotional litter,
had morphed into the most sparkling glitter.

Congrats on 200 poems! You've grown so much as a writer, as is displayed some here. I know I always mention it, but you're very strong with the metaphors and emotion here. "The emerald trees whooshed the chords of destiny" stood out to me. Infact, the whole way from the sun to the lavish breeze was an especially original and unique touch. You communicate articulate expression quite well in general, and more of that is on display here. Anyway, thanks for sharing. I'll see you around!

Wow, thanks for the encouragement. Thanks for showing me continual support, as well. I always kind of look forward to your critique, heh.
That's great that you're drawing interest in being a writer. I hope your endeavors turn out great for you. I guess I just kind of have a lot of experience in writing, and want to share some tips and pointers, idk, heh. Anyway, it's always good in sharing poetry and critique with you. Keep in touch!

An awesome poem to call 200. It reminded me of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.

Absolutely! A champagne moment if ever there was one, right? Can I say, "Woo hoo!?" Lol. I just luv those round numbers. At least it's the right kind of glitter this time, Debbie. I hate glitter though... it gets everywhere but still... enjoyed this most positive & inspiring message of yours. 🍾🎉

Thank you so so much ❤️
I did receive a really good opportunity to self publish and really get out there, just weighing whether I can afford it right now.
Those aids don't come cheap!
