The Pensive Moon

The tall trees cast their long shadows
The fading sun, escapes the deep furrows
And the flocking birds regain fluffy homes
To leave the poet in a silent world, roam

Dark blue sky tells the landing night
The glimmering stars make a fainting sight
A pale face from the deep blue shall daze
Behind olden mountains, tall and wise

Into the blue goes the moon:Fluent rise
Sailing into darkness of the milky haze
And when in still, i behold the scene
A snap of the past, will pass unseen :

Had i seen the moon is such splendor?
Had i lived as a child with such wonder?
Was the face of the moon so younger?
Or is it me who shall live, no longer ?
