Untitled Love Poem II

Bathe me in moonlight, darling
under the black silk sky.
My dress would look better
hanging on that tree
next to your black silk tie.
I want to be like the Mississippi River.
I want to flow down the streams with you.
I want you to make me shiver.
I want you to tremble too.
I want you to warm me by the fire
that burns inside your chest
and watch the flames flicker higher
--higher than all the rest.
