Simple sticks, birds in a nest
nature's argyles and twigs
trees losing their wigs
as Autumn goes the wind
listening to the silence
now covered with leaves

I love the simplicity here, but especially the line about the trees losing their wigs. There is something both whimsical and elegant in this poem. The refrain at the end is fitting even for such a short poem.

Thank you kindly. I prefer short poems over "wordy" ones. To me, simplicity is the way to write. Sometimes, I toss some unusual words, but that's the enjoyment of scribbling.
