do you remember me asking that?
forget I ever asked
I no longer need an answer
there's a pretty good chance there isn't one
you know what I mean?
indeed
like where are we
self evident....
soul residents grazing in our here and now
gardening tales of our crypt
paraphrasing past manuscripts
playing catch up as we rewind footage of
...our hedonistic happenstance..
besides...every moment since has negated the need
each open communication
all the fiery nights
the passion
the compassion
the complete understanding
lips brushing heat just below the ear
whispering words nobody else hears
...subsisting in a secreted realm
throbbing beneath parchment as invisible ink...
where our words wink in Morse code
how many waves we rode?
...tell me what still lays embedded
after all this time...
remind me of our rhythm....our rhyme
what was our original crime?
nameless
do you recall the other thing I said?
I don't care what anyone else gets
what you give me is amazing
incomparable
shared with only me
because we built this beautiful thing
an island of our own
so who needs a label?
