Serendipity

 
All my life I have been craving
For love
For happiness
For peace
The light in my soul was dimmed

In my darkest hours
I started to write
Poems and stories
Lost in deep self reflection
I forgot my desperate yearning

I paid attention to my inner light
It grew continuously
So I shared it with others
Watching the receivers bloom
Provided me happiness

The little flame in my heart
Increased to a blazing fire
So I radiated loving kindness
In return people opened their hearts
And gifted me their love

Openminded I encountered others
Listened to their sorrows and needs
Rejoiced in their achievements
My belief in the goodness of man
Granted me inner peace

I was in the flow
Without struggle and pressure
All that I have been longing for
Came into my life with ease
Serendipity unleashed my true self
