a smile among the roses

everyday
i wait for you
by my window
and all i see are roses
blushing red
in the dripping of my tears
in my lay-
wait rendezvous
i crave to know
the things your heart discloses
when my bed
kills my sleep with nameless fears
how i pray
the morning dew
will one day grow
a smile among the roses
so my dread
soul may drink your love arrears

Bittersweet, Cab. I like the format and how it's stepped upward, much like hope.
Here we go again -- another rose poem!
That does cement home my point about my regard. Thanks for blooming on my page again. I knew I wrote this poem at some point this year but could not fathom what had happened to it, so I did a keyword search yesterday and, lo and behold, I found it. My wife and I had travelled to Colorado shortly after I created it, and that was how it got "lost."
