Imagining your arms
If you once more
Drew me into your warmth
Held me close to your chest
If I breathed your comforting essence again
My eyes would well with salty sparkles
maybe a drop or two escaping
to write their story in watery lines
along my blushing cheeks.
I would whisper softly,
“____, I’ve missed you for so many years”
with my smaller arms wrapped tight around you I’d add,
“You’re still my missing piece”
Drew me into your warmth
Held me close to your chest
If I breathed your comforting essence again
My eyes would well with salty sparkles
maybe a drop or two escaping
to write their story in watery lines
along my blushing cheeks.
I would whisper softly,
“____, I’ve missed you for so many years”
with my smaller arms wrapped tight around you I’d add,
“You’re still my missing piece”
