I keep pulling up files
entering data into accounts
feeling my blood pressure rise
one by one they stack up
"not medically necessary"
denial after denial
...of serious needs
and I'm getting incredibly pissed
disgusted with the health care system
so I'm letting off steam...
taking it out on the machine
hitting rep after rep
knowing it won't change a thing
people will still be there...
...still suffering
and I feel so powerless
just punching numbers...
...into an impersonal screen
so I'm learning to keep weights
and ab workout gear...
...right here...
...behind my desk
I can't fix the injustice...
...but at least I'll be in better shape
