nothing left
I cry for the happiness that eludes me.
Tell me we all matter now.
You can’t leave me here to fend for myself in a dying land.
When the earth starts to shatter and the skies tear apart, you’ll find me in the middle of it all.
Waiting for the clouds to collapse and the trees to fall…with my heart in my hand, I wait.
When the lightning strikes and the darkness falls around us,
I stretch in hopes of seeing the light of the sun once more. Begging it to take me away and save me before there is nothing left to run for…
