Soul Tied
I don’t want you
But I can’t move on
Damn,
What a place to be…
Month after month,
Here I think I’m okay,
But deep down
I feel you still tied to me.
We try and try again…
Tell ourselves that we can
Just be friends
Really, all we’re doing is
Getting closer and closer to
The deep end.
We try and make it fit
Knowing damn well it won’t…
We fuck
Then fight again,
Rather than just giving it up.
We claim it’s in the name of love,
But it’s really just addiction:
It’s unkind
Sick & twisted…
It’s a toxic web
We just keep spinning.
In my stomach
I feel a deep pit
But I just can’t let it go…
No, this isn’t love
Love wouldn’t feel like this,
It’s just you:
Tied to my soul.
But I can’t move on
Damn,
What a place to be…
Month after month,
Here I think I’m okay,
But deep down
I feel you still tied to me.
We try and try again…
Tell ourselves that we can
Just be friends
Really, all we’re doing is
Getting closer and closer to
The deep end.
We try and make it fit
Knowing damn well it won’t…
We fuck
Then fight again,
Rather than just giving it up.
We claim it’s in the name of love,
But it’s really just addiction:
It’s unkind
Sick & twisted…
It’s a toxic web
We just keep spinning.
In my stomach
I feel a deep pit
But I just can’t let it go…
No, this isn’t love
Love wouldn’t feel like this,
It’s just you:
Tied to my soul.
