Image for the poem Tinge

Tinge

Disingenuous emotive flair
are proven to be ruthless
while feelings cloaked as kindness
heat seek in the shadows

To twist the dagger deeper
shine on a glass
whisper in the dark
a tinge of grief will spark

Listless in your presentation
grimoire of faith presented
little doubt you gloat
in the needful darkness

Painful honesties inflict
harbinger of ill intent
Secreting away vital intel
the veil is rent

Inglorious scepter
from sternum to sinus
seeking to kiss the ring
but following short of it

wringing your hands in infamy
willing I lose it all
nothing short of a miracle

lost epiphany shrouded in silence
mouth to the grave

kindness is the weakness
