Riding the Wave

Surfing in your ocean
When the quake cracks under your curl
A wave appears upon the calm wet surface
Foreshadowing what comes from down beneath
Silently at first the ripple deceives my senses
A pleasure-full day swimming at the beach
Under clear sunny skies before the dark Moonrise
Your wave grows ever higher then pulls me under
So unbelievably deep I dare not breathe
Clinging to my board I rise and come back up
So powerful a wave I ride this one on my knees
Only then I realize your tsunami is nearly drowning me
Yet the paradise I feel safely washes over me
Now my thirst grows to drink all your seven seas
