To be alone

Bukowski famously wrote
that there are worse things than
being alone, I agree, I guess I do.
Being alone brings a cold fold
to my energetic limbs.
It puts petals on my kneecaps
and opens the museum doors.
Instead of pleading, I peel
Marry me, now I mumble
Pink reminds me that
when facts are on your side
pitch a question, never a statement.
Ronald Reagan succeeded
because he asked a question.
So my question to you is
Have you learned to slow down?
Have you been inner lucid with yourself?
Reagan was standing alone
So yes, there are worse things
than being alone.
I am here, and some of
the smartest people in the world
agree, that this is how to
hold hands with entirety
and unite a self dream
Common ground is uneven terrain
Companionship is a rock descending
You will find the median
of ones self and intrinsic thoughts
Keep going my love, and be alone.
