Kiss the sunset let your heart relent
let go of the problems in the moment
The moon is smiling at you in time

Problems will encroach for tonight let it ride
we may only have now
Each of us perhaps only this life
then shifting later to don the eternal
but we're here with each other today

I'm grateful

You are precious to me
Poets of tonight let your song be sweet by design
edifying the soul in times of strife
the shadows are always going to be there with the knife

I see the glimmer of their madness from the corner of my eye
there is no promise here nor in the immortal
so love like today is your last

Breathe in the symphony of living
trial is a basis of learning
a starting point to understanding
Garner what you can
don't disregard the best of you out of impatience

Who is to say what is a good life?

I am motivated to believe I was desired
cherished even
sung over during my creation
there isn't another you

Live your best life
with the knowledge in hurt there is wisdom
in suffering glory
in pain truth
in fear vulnerability

all steps on a path you were set upon
