Stairwell
Have I mistaken heaven from hell
And gone down the wrong stairwell
Does one lead to somewhere
Or is it this despair leading me nowhere
I guess with each step
But each lift weighs more heavy
Sore to the soul
One step follows another
Please
I beg on my knees
To these feet
Trip and fall!
Giving my hope
Leaving me hopeless
At last!
Bidding farewell to hopes torture
To be hopeless was at least
An ending of

Sometimes I write in a delirious state of mind. I guess I’ve been thinking recently that it’s better to be hopeless than tortured by hope.

Like Chloe said, it's pretty good. You carry duality in principle, as in the guidance of good and evil being burdensome. I can picture both paths, and a desire to be alleviated. Thanks for sharing!
