Daywalker
I flirt with wounds, scratch and repeat
By letting them go, walking away
Devil on pause taking backseat
Inviting Sun for Cabernet
Taunt and beg, you pretend and play
Shade of life in the darkest ditch
Hopelessly candid in escape
Oblivion masked on your lips
As your fangs fall into my nape
Choked noises like hungry vultures
And as you bid to desecrate
I poise to fold into your candor
Stirring up spiraling stairways
We both can hardly believe we are real.
By letting them go, walking away
Devil on pause taking backseat
Inviting Sun for Cabernet
Taunt and beg, you pretend and play
Shade of life in the darkest ditch
Hopelessly candid in escape
Oblivion masked on your lips
As your fangs fall into my nape
Choked noises like hungry vultures
And as you bid to desecrate
I poise to fold into your candor
Stirring up spiraling stairways
We both can hardly believe we are real.
