Maybe

Maybe he was right
maybe I shouldn't fight,
just give in and let it all wash away,
give in and live to see another day
after all, even if I fight what does it change?
Maybe he was right, maybe it doesn't change
but maybe, if I die, it will mean something
but how can I push the boundaries
and escape the human foundry?
One versus many, frail and alone
skin versus bone,
one will break
and one will escape
Maybe, just maybe, he was wrong...
