There is a Sadness

There is a sadness in what
is given by hearts that grasp
for what cannot be held.

There is a darkness when
flesh promised to one
is stolen by the passions of another.

There is despair in the
scripted endings to all
that our hearts call beautiful.

But still, there is a beauty in the
fluid movement of bodies
surrendering to lust.
