Offering to a Raven

We throw the dead mice
out the back door,
that were caught in a trap
the night before.

A raven flies by
and snatches them up,
an offering to him
we're so glad he cleans up.

A delicious little morsel
that keeps him satisfied,
so many more to come
we’re all too happy to provide.
