nothingness smiles
the cruelty of nothingness beckons
I sulk in the background
waiting to be understood
in the darkened shadows that grow long
I seek voice
teetering in the abyss
I see the void
it is a part of me
midnight lies to me saying I am a child of the light
the night is bitter but it is a part of me
a wicked child of keen
sinister in my keep
writhing in anger
the soul lingers, I devour
a hint of sadness stirs
I will slay it too
deceptive faith burning me
in the sacred art of knowing
I dissect the truth and glean the meat

in the sacred art of knowing" I think speaks to those who have lost, found and lost their faith in one way or another. It's a dark spill that speaks to many of us in the know.
