to think of all the times I
have struck poetic gold...
:)))
Speaking of gold...
I recently learned a longtime
friend of mine went back to prison...
I immediately wrote to him...
I was thinking of our youth...
I told him "We were born golden
and that which is golden is untarnishable"...
I intentionally made the phraseology a bit clunky...
I do that...
I was thinking about this dude...
I saw him whoop this dudes ass
at his sister's quincenera (party for 15th birthday)...
This guy was hitting on his sister...
But yes...
He sort of found a way to pick a fight...
Honestly LDF...
I instigated... :ppp
But the fight was crazy...
My friend dont play no games...
He just starts throwing punches...
You just hear punches landing...
And this guy making sounds like a woman...
They went into the water and back onto land...
Damn...
Would have made TMZ in the modern age...
But yes...
I mean...
This dude went to a different HS than I...
A rival HS...
But when I wrestled at his HS
he came cheer me on...
When I almost died in a car crash
he went to the hospital, an hour away...
Gave me this eagle cane...
But yes...
Thats how I feel though...
It dont matter what the fuck happened...
We are still golden...
I remember one of the last times
I talked to him...
I stopped by his place, we smoked...
Sat out front talking...
I remember thinking what
a genuinely good spirit he had...
The sort of gentleman who
is a good parent...
I think the ladies in his life
perhaps took advantage of that...
Although I never really like talking
to my friends about their relationships
unless they like...
Need someone to listen or something.?.
I just never talk about my relationships
to anyone...
But yes...
I think a lot about the matrix of society...
I blame none and none can be blamed...
However, tis just very complex...
The environmental factors of one's
existential experience...
In any event, I truly feel grateful
for each and every moment...
And for the writing, my saving grace...
It's like...
Sometimes it feels like all I have is the writing...
It makes me very happy
