Weekly Summary
On Monday my mother lectured about
the importance of living,
she reminds me once a week.
It comforts her more than me
so, I tell her I understand.
On Tuesday I told Steven that I was numb
I wanted to feel more alive, in which
he replied with it will get better.
That was his usual response.
I will try telling him again next week.
Wednesday evening, I wasted fifteen minutes
watching a talk on how to become a millionaire.
Then spent the rest of the night thinking of business ideas.
On Thursday I replaced my childhood
companion with a newer one that you
microwave and smells like lavender. I thought
I liked replacing old things. Until I threw the
memories away with it and cried that night.
On Friday I drove two hours to see a town
I’d never seen before. Hannah came with me
because she was an expert in distracting feelings.
We arrived and compared memories and drank excessively.
Saturday, I canceled plans with Liv because I thought
her boyfriend was more important. Turns out
she canceled plans with him to see me
so, I guess I messed that one up.
This week I had six or seven assignments due and only
half of them got done. Somehow, I managed
to get passing grades although the lack of effort bothers me.
One of the days I found out I have a rare gene.
One in a million.
Always good to know, this was the highlight of my week.
On Sunday, I summarize the week and compare it
to reality TV. What drama went down, are
Chelsea and I still friends
and what did I mess up this time?
