Red Ribbon
Days blur together,
No idea how she gets through them.
She goes on, even if a part
Of her has died.
Her only joy was
Ripped out.
Her love, taken away.
She does not know
Salvation.
She only knows the
Comfort of her
Knife..
And her only friend,
The red ribbon whom she ties
Around her wrists when she
Finishes her time spent with
The knife.
But today,
She decides to try
Something different with her pain.
She decides, since no one hears
Her broken whispers..
Maybe they will
See her blood and tears..
She takes the knife,
And she slashes it acrossed
Her only scar-free skin,
The hollow of her throat.
Warmth drawls down her body,
Yet she becomes cold..
She realizes that her life is
Being taken, by her own hand. Smiling,
Finally done with all the pain, finally free,
She wraps the red ribbon around her neck,
And she bleeds herself dry.
The red ribbon,
Soaked in her blood,
Remains around her neck,
Afraid to let go.
No idea how she gets through them.
She goes on, even if a part
Of her has died.
Her only joy was
Ripped out.
Her love, taken away.
She does not know
Salvation.
She only knows the
Comfort of her

And her only friend,
