Things that are slippery
Freshly cooked spaghetti, obviously,
and snot
and soap
and probably lots of things
that start with S.
My brain, I suspect
would quite literally be slippery
if I were to try and
hold it in my hands.
It's also quite slick
in a figurative sense,
unable to hold things
for very long
...

Slime, string beans, spit, some soups…just kidding everyone knows string beans aren’t slippery, just bean-y. As for the gaps, or slips, of the memory…I can’t hold onto anything very long either. Especially frustrating when I’ve forgotten my damn grocery list! There’s a lot of depth in this poem and I like how you’ve spun it. H🌷

Most things are slippery when wet, the brain on the other hand, is slippery all the time... evasive truths, in your face lies, so many omissions of honesty that ice forms beneath it's icy breath...
