When love becomes a masochistic moth
Widowed by the night's downtrodden
Listening to a requiem from the cicadas
That yearns to feel the heat of passion's flame,
With a morbid intoxication of naked synonyms
Exhuming the ashes of verses and metaphors
Chewing a hole through sheets of ardor's cloth.
Blending in with the patchwork's fading troth
