Ah'm oot ma heid they telt me
wisnae fit tae gaun aboot
some said ah shouldnae been let oot.
"whit's wrang wi your face"
ah looked doon.
the boass wisnae much better.
"stoap worryin.Jist smile".
eftir a week e hinkin e chuckin masel aff the work roof
ah kent a hud tae pack in.
Iz a smiled appreciately at the woman in the job centre
she shoot back " ye dinnae look troubled it aw tae me".
Ah really wish ah could say it ended weill.
Ah wis troubled.Ah kent it
the doktors kent it.
bit fer some unknown reason other folk pretended
ah'd made it up.
Ah went back tae ma work.
