My favorite person
My favorite call
My favorite notification

And i hate it
When I cant get that point across
Stuck with typed words in docs
Words you'll never hear
Words that will stay as thoughts

I know I’ve been dishonest
But that’s because ignorance is bliss.
If i ever told you the truth
It would be a hit or miss.

Hiding off the nasty bits of me
The bits i can’t stand for you to see
The girl with her emotions in a wreck
Her tears staining her cheeks and hands and words.

The tears staining the emotions that stain her works.
But lately there’s been less tears
Thanks to her love
Who calls her his and eases her fears

Yet she still chose to lie
To keep him looking at her the same way
That same look in his eye.
She lies and hides the truth away.

So at night she writes and doesn’t tell him
She writes the way she hopes she’ll speak
Clear and innocent

She is the girl unseen
Writing words of grandiose,
Leaving her speechless in the morning
And i truly believe the great poets of today
When they speak of love
And of touch
I believe they spoke of the truth

Of loving someone
Who loves you
Regardless of what you do
Regardless of what you’ve done.
Praying to god that they’re the one.
Regardless of whether or not they should.

Of holding someone close
Who holds you in their heart
Regardless of what keeps you apart
Regardless of what draws you together
Hoping you’ll know whether
This will stay or hurt worse than physical pain
Regardless of whether or not you should.

A type of love that feels infinite and too short all at the same time
The rest of our lives together,
But only that?
