A villanelle Just a Man
It must be awful to be just a man
to be forever trapped inside maleness,
being a part of that unruly gang,
Bony fists, ready, to be curled by hands
having to wear the male badge on the chest,
it must awful to be just a man.
To be ready to take a fighter's stance
to have no access to womanliness,
because he's part of a tough unruly gang,
And I despair that any changes can
be made out of this, warrior like mess,
it must be awful to be just a man.
Forever fearful, of being unmanned,
but needing to be clutching at a breast,
but still show, that he is part of the gang.
And here, I propose, a most cunning plan,
start young, teach boys, lots of womanliness
I commend men to your sane hands, woman,
it must be awful to be just a man.
to be forever trapped inside maleness,
being a part of that unruly gang,
Bony fists, ready, to be curled by hands
having to wear the male badge on the chest,
it must awful to be just a man.
To be ready to take a fighter's stance

And I despair that any changes can

Forever fearful, of being unmanned,
