Lesson: Keep it to yourself
Why do they always tell you to speak your mind,
Don’t bottle it all up deep inside;
When all they’ll do when you finally let it out,
Is bring you down, using it as weapons against yourself.
They even use it as ammunition against another person
Unnecessarily blasting what you told them in confidence,
In a moment of genuine vulnerability, ultimately resulting
In someone else blaming you for a fight you that wasn’t yours.
So now I will have to learn some other way
To regulate my own damn fucking emotional baggage
Because I’ll be damn to continually allow you to make
Me another full in your game of pawns.
