On my way
On my way
The clock ticks by so slowly, I'm awake and all alone, either staring into the darkness or playing solitaire on my phone
Desperately trying to fall asleep, knowing you're waiting in my dreams, so close yet a world away or that is how it seems
Tossing and turning my mind just won't give up the fight, I even try counting leaping sheep, I pray I sleep real soon tonight
I need to drift off to my happy place, I know you're waiting there, the place we're together, where we can live without a care
Where I'm not in a wheelchair, it's a place where I am truly free, to spend my time with you, where there's only you and me
It's where the Sun is always shining, no dark clouds or pouring rain, where happiness is in abundance and no one is cursed with pain
My eyes are feeling heavy, I've had a tough and pain filled day, I feel myself slowly drifting off, at last I'm on my way
