vortex of perfection

cauldron stirred by unseen force
churning turbulence
shattering quivering surface
breath stalled on inhale
and pulse skips
missing a single beat
as reality slowly shifts
adding buoyancy to heavy thoughts
iridescent swirls rising from the bottom
bits of memory long haunting me
at long last settling
and I�m looking through the debris
mud & silt clouding visibility
trying futilely to find the beauty in pain
as I dry heave all the yesterdays my stomach couldn�t take
trying desperately to see
through vision that�s not mine
willing His view to alter my splintered sight
as He cradles my fragility
while praising my strength
understanding
some fractures defy any healing
damage & warrior
being intricately intertwined
and He cherishes the fusion
offering shelter for my entirety
both my tortured & my steeled mind
nurturing the subtle
and reveling in the wild
drawn to the woven union
its delicate intricacy
uncanny
as muddied water turns crystalline
shimmering with electricity
simultaneously igniting & grounding me
leaving me stunned
wondering how it happened
those twists & idiosyncrasies
no longer buried
now have belonging
accepted & welcomed
as I willingly submit
to the nourishing bindings of ivory cradling me
changing tainted images of days long gone
with purifying truths of today
