Image for the poem Weathered Coats

Weathered Coats

Twilight's flavor of tea drops
shaped like a tear embracing
the cordovan of dancing shoes
echoing on the velveteen moss
whispering mum to strangers
dressed in the weathered coats
and unicorns in hallowed woods
in a manger of talcum oaks
shadowing children of acorns
whispering mum to strangers
