Dark Butterflies

Nature Silently Silhouetted
Beneath  Hidden  Stars
Beyond  Darkly Velvet  Skies
Out  Of  Reach
Of  The  Dark  Butterflies
That  Remain
Still  Unmoving
Like  Tombstones
Sounds  Of  The  Night  Creatures
Slowly Awakening
Permeate  The  Soft  Silence
As  A  Chill Wind
Whispers  Past
A  Soft  Scattering
Of  Lily  White  Snow
Which  Falls  Like  Down  Feathers
Gently  Coating  Nature
Turning  Trees
Into  Ghosts
A  Crack  In  The  Sky
Allows  The  Moon
To  Glimmer  Through
As  It  Reveals
Tiny  Silver  Stars
As  The  Shadows   Dissipate
The  Dark  Butterflies
Fly  Off
In  Search  Of
The  Comfort
Of  Earth  Borne  Light
