Unconsciousness

And the light
Shines in the darkness
And the darkness
Comprehends it not.

The outer sun is actually
Shining in the darkness of space.

This darkness might be likened
To the unconsciousness within us.

The light of God shines in the darkness
Of the unconsciousness
And the unconsciousness within us
Comprehends it not.

Most of us are still asleep
(Unconsciousness)
And have yet to awaken
To the dawn of consciousness.

Although -

Light, Love, Life, and Truth
That is God
Completely surrounds us -
We recognize it not.
