Intimacy seems an opposite of shame.
I always end up accepting and forgiving myself the most.

Uncovering layers of each other, welcoming the whole process of shedding inhibitions, becoming confident and comfortable with what it is that's truly wanted.
Releasing the hold of any fear with the hopefulness of unimaginable pleasure.

At least....
I believe in a simplified epistemology. Induction is the only knowledge. We can not absolutely determine the veracity of anything conclusively. Deduction and the rest purport conclusiveness, only to be bought out by more data. What we can know is seeming relationship. We allow our own vulnerability, but it guarantees nothing. Openness is not an insurance policy.
Taking the risk of presenting ourselves as we are is really our only gift. If we feel shame, we feel worthless because we lack value to ourselves.
A person who understands these things sees scars as previous points of vulnerability.
Flawlessness has never been vulnerable a day in its life. That's sheer terror covering up.
Nakedness passes nudity to be licked on the most vulnerable emotion.
