Cracked Lips
I'm a dead leaf on a tree branch
Faded colors with crisp edges
Sulking dark trapped in a cold trance
So tear me off and feel me fall
These cracked lips hold many secrets
Balanced by bitterness, regrets
If my heart is a landmine blown
My mind is scarred like a heroes
Waking up to their harsh sunlight
Creaking oak saps my energy
I'm burnt out from just keeping up
So don't smile back like you know me
These days, night is my asylum
Retreat, fill my gaps with soothing autumn.
Faded colors with crisp edges
Sulking dark trapped in a cold trance
So tear me off and feel me fall
These cracked lips hold many secrets
Balanced by bitterness, regrets
If my heart is a landmine blown
My mind is scarred like a heroes
Waking up to their harsh sunlight
Creaking oak saps my energy
I'm burnt out from just keeping up
So don't smile back like you know me
These days, night is my asylum
Retreat, fill my gaps with soothing autumn.
