Juneau Pilgrims
Nature’s crystal tea
Poured over granite ice cubes
Into holy Juneau vat of heaven
Whose spritzer oxygen levitates us
Where tree rings widen
Into wooden fingerprints
That sing brazen hymns of nymphs
To clouds that cloak the sun and moon
From eyes that seek totemic beings
That lurk in the shadowless forest
Only to silhouette when the fog burns
Into sunbeam sculpture
Where the castanet
Of an eagle cry
Echoes on Dryad boughs
For forest gypsies
Whose thirsty ears
Drink liquid raptor songs
Nature’s crystal tea
Poured over granite ice cubes
Into holy Juneau vat of heaven
Whose spritzer oxygen levitates us
Where tree rings widen
Into wooden fingerprints
That sing brazen hymns of nymphs
To clouds that cloak the sun and moon
From eyes that seek totemic beings
That lurk in the shadowless forest
Only to silhouette when the fog burns
Into sunbeam sculpture
Where the castanet
Of an eagle cry
Echoes on Dryad boughs
For forest gypsies
Whose thirsty ears
Drink liquid raptor songs
