Moving On
It was never me.
Though my heart aches for you
And my sheets still smell of you.
Even though my body still feels traces of you,
And i see you wear my clothes out in public.
My friends say that anything can happen,
But yesterday I saw you with him.
The polar opposite boy,
A requiem of joy and smiles
and Love.
Then i saw him in my shirt.
and i knew
I’ll never get the chance
to be him,
Again.
Though my heart aches for you
And my sheets still smell of you.
Even though my body still feels traces of you,
And i see you wear my clothes out in public.
My friends say that anything can happen,
But yesterday I saw you with him.
The polar opposite boy,
A requiem of joy and smiles
and Love.
Then i saw him in my shirt.
and i knew
I’ll never get the chance
to be him,
Again.
