The Heart's Galaxy of Night
The magnificent moon was bone white.
Meet me in the magic dew hour
between day and night.
The sun of gold sequins danced
into an ultra-violet horizon.
Day kept secrets glisten in your iris's.
Contemplations graze the universe.
Fireflies are exquisite flashing fallen stars.
The fever in my heart rivals
the climate of Mars.
I wait for you in the aftermath of my vast past.
We are miniscule in this world, but love remains forever large.

Okkkaaayyy, so the climate on Mars rarely reaches above 20oC at its maximum peak, I hear. Try Venus instead. Much warmer but the gravity would crush you, so no one wins! But dismissing that, you are the ice, I am the fire & some poor other soul is the luke warm one. I'd hate to be the luke warm one. I'm quoting Spinal Tap of course. Mars may be luke warm for a few weeks in the summer near its equator but who needs that, right? Love is the winner every time! 😊
